Delete your Inwitt account

Delete it yourself, in the app

1. Open Inwitt and sign in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Scroll to Delete account at the bottom.
4. Press Delete my account and confirm. Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.

If you cannot sign in

Email [email protected] from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is yours and delete it within 30 days. Write from the account address if you can, since that is what lets us verify the request quickly.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes:

• Your login, profile, display name and avatar choice
• Every thinking session, its chat history and its whiteboard
• Your vault notes, board tasks, check-ins and receipts
• Any images or PDFs you uploaded
• Your notification subscriptions and your credit balance

What is kept, and for how long

• Sessions you deleted before closing the account are already soft-deleted and are purged permanently after 30 days.
• Records we must keep by law, chiefly billing and tax records for purchases, are retained for the period the law requires. Payments are handled by our payment provider as merchant of record.
• Text sent to our AI providers to produce a reply is deleted by them within 30 days under their own retention terms. See the privacy policy for the sub-processor list.
• Encrypted infrastructure backups may hold residual copies for a short window before rotating out.

Guest accounts

If you opened the mobile app without creating an account, Inwitt made a guest account so you could look around. Guest accounts are deleted automatically when unused: after 7 days if nothing was ever created in them, and after 30 days otherwise. You do not need to do anything.

Deleting some of your data, without closing your account

You do not have to close your account to remove things. Each of these can be deleted on its own, from inside the app:

• A thinking session, with its chat and whiteboard: open Sessions, then delete it from the session menu.
• A vault note: open the note in the Vault and delete it.
• A board task: open the task on the Board and delete it.
• An uploaded image or PDF: deleting the session it was attached to removes the file as well.

Deleted sessions are soft-deleted first so an accident can be undone, and are purged permanently after 30 days. Notes and tasks are removed straight away. To have something removed that you cannot reach yourself, email [email protected] and say what you want deleted.

You can also request a copy of your data before deleting anything.
