The six thinking modes

Decision, Critical, Research, Planning, Problem-solving, and God Mode.

Each mode gives the assistant a different questioning playbook. Same rules (no answers, no opinions), different angle of attack.

Decision

For choices: two jobs, three options, one hard trade-off. Questions surface what you actually value, the constraints you have not said out loud, and what you are afraid of.

Critical

For stress-testing an idea you already have. The questions poke at assumptions, evidence, and blind spots. If your idea survives this mode, it is sturdier than it was.

Research

For when you need facts before you can think. You direct the research, Inwitt retrieves neutral results (the same you would get searching yourself), and you pick what is relevant. The selection is the thinking.

Planning

For turning an intention into a plan. Questions crystallize the goal, sequence the steps, and surface risks. Planning sessions produce planned tasks on the receipt that can move straight to your task board.

Problem-solving

For when something is broken or stuck. Questions narrow the actual problem (often not the one you walked in with) before exploring ways through it.

God Mode

The deep one: a structured 8-step framework using our most capable model for every reply. It costs 2 Deep Thinking credits per message and is built for the decisions that deserve an hour, not a scroll. See Deep Thinking and God Mode.
